The Event
Undefeated Combative Sports Awards, in collaboration with the Houston Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts Hall of Fame, proudly presents a night of celebration and recognition at the "Combative Sports Awards Banquet Gala." This prestigious event, recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements within the Boxing and Mixed Martial Arts industry, will take place on February 17, 2024, at 7:00 PM at the state-of-the-art Red Owl Boxing Arena located at 12539 Perry Road, Houston, Texas 77070.
This historical gathering marks a milestone for Houston, featuring the Combative Sports Awards Banquet Gala at Red Owl Boxing, a cutting-edge sports performance facility. The venue boasts seating for over 1,000 attendees, offering a modern ambiance that includes VIP experiences and exclusive ringside seating. The "Owl’s Nest," a full-service hospitality venue, provides a high-end atmosphere with top-notch sound, lighting, LED screens, and cutting-edge production for seamless streaming and television presentations.
Our Mission
Our mission at Combative Sports Awards is to showcase the rich history of legendary boxers such as George Foreman, Reggie Johnson, Raul Marquez, Juan Diaz, Rocky Juarez, Lou Savarese, David Donis, Miguel Flores, Marlen Esparza, Joshua Edwards, Frank Tate, Anthony Wiley, Jack Johnson, Cleveland Williams, Timothy Goodall Jr., Cornelius White, Alfonzo Lopez, Regis Prograis, Eugene Hill Sr., Termite Walkins, Jermall Charlo, and Jermell Charlo. Additionally, we will recognize the achievements of Houston's UFC fighters, including Derrick Lewis, Daniel Pineda, Issac Villanueva, Mike Jackson, Sage Northcutt, Alex Morono, Juan Adams, Matt Schnell, Ricky Turcios, Mans Martinez, Mike Swick, Roberto Sanchez, Andrew Craig, Arron Phillips, Trevin Giles, and Yves Edwards.
Furthermore, special recognition will be extended to individuals who have played pivotal roles in combative sports, including Master Zulfi Ahrmed, Tim Mousel, Patrick Hutton, and local promoters such as Forris Washington, Next Fight Up, Alfonzo Lopez, El Tigre Promotions, Reed Shelger, Paradigm Combat Promotions, Eric Garcia, Fury Fighting Championship, and many more.
We take great pride in recognizing our very own National Super Heavyweight Champion and Pan American Gold Medalist, Joshua Edwards, hailing from the Undefeated Boxing Academy. Joshua is a valued member of TEAM USA and will proudly represent us at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, France. His exceptional achievements will add him to the esteemed list of Houston Olympians, including Frank Tate with a Gold Medal in 1988, George Foreman with a Gold Medal in 1964, Jesse Valdez with a Bronze Medal in 1972, Raul Marquez with a Bronze Medal in 1996, Rocky Juarez with a Silver Medal in 2000, and Marlen Esparza with a Bronze Medal in 2012.
